We feel incredibly lucky to have so many guests travelling to our destination wedding. Your presence is our gift.
What are the recommended arrival and departure dates?
We recommend arriving on November 7th and departing on November 11th to enjoy the Welcome Party (Nov 8th), Wedding Day (Nov 9th), and Recovery Day (Nov 10th).
What is the best way to travel to and from Hayman Island?
The easiest way to reach Hayman Island is to fly into Hamilton Island and board the ferry arranged by the Hayman Island Hotel (included with your room when booked via our wedding discount). Simply provide the hotel with your flight details, and Hayman will arrange for someone to meet you at the airport and escort you to the ferry, where beverages and light snacks will be waiting onboard.
What is the dress code for the Welcome Event?
Dress Code: White Cocktail. Think elegant, effortless, and made for high seas celebrations. Please note: heels are not permitted on the yacht.
What is the dress code for the Ceremony and Reception?
Dress Code: Formal - Island Elegance for the ceremony. As the reception moves to the beach, feel free to swap your shoes and lose the jackets.
Are children welcome to join the Welcome Party, Ceremony and Reception?
For little ones under the age of 12, we kindly ask that you arrange childcare directly through the hotel using this email: concierge.hayman@ihg.com
Please note that at least two weeks’ notice is required.
Pricing: $50/$60/$70 per hour for 1/2/3 children.
What is the weather like in November?
November is warm and tropical, with daytime temperatures typically between 24 – 30°C. Light fabrics, sun protection, and comfortable shoes are recommended.
